While investigating the disappearance of Dr Marcus Pinchello,private detective Ben Gordon, meets Joseph Crane who tells him how Pinchello's disappearance may be linked to his brother Robert. Using Robert's tape recorded diary Gordon learns of Robert Crane's obsession with time and how he has devoted the last three years of his life to slowing it down.
Robert Crane, once a normal man, has become a recluse that never leaves the house and spends his days working out ways to hold back the passage of time. Obsessed with stopping it completely he devises elaborate ways that will make time appear to slow down. Pain, hunger, high temperatures and lack of sleep are just a few of the methods employed to slow the march of time.
When he meets Dr.Pinchello, on the request of his worried brother, Crane comes across a hypnotherapy that could be the answer to his problems.
